What it is
A Korean video player from GRETECH. It became popular for automatically finding and attaching subtitles and for playing most files without a separate codec pack. The free edition shows ads; removing them requires the paid version.
When to pick this
If you watch subtitled video often and liked its subtitle lookup. For an ad-free lightweight player use VLC; for detailed playback control, PotPlayer.

Automatic subtitle search
Looks up and downloads subtitles based on the video filename, so you do not have to find and place subtitle files yourself.
Built-in codecs
Carries the codecs it needs, so most files open without installing anything else.
Ads
The free edition shows ads around the playback window and on exit. Watch the installer checkboxes for bundled software too.
After a reformat
Untick the bundled items in the installer
Other GOM products or partner programs come pre-ticked. If you only want the player, untick them.
File associations
Pick the formats during setup. Two players fight over associations, so keep just one.
