What it is

If you are reinstalling VALORANT. If you play League too, they share the Riot Client, so add both together.

Vanguard anti-cheat
Vanguard installs alongside and runs from system boot. A restart is required after install, and it is worth knowing about beforehand if that approach concerns you.

Vanguard reinstall and reboot
The anti-cheat (Vanguard) installs afresh and demands a reboot. Copying the game folder does not skip this.
Settings are on the account
Sensitivity, keybinds and crosshair are stored on the Riot account and return on sign-in.
