What it is
A workplace messenger operated by Salesforce. Conversations are split into topic channels, with files and decisions accumulating inside them, so someone joining later can search back through past discussion. It is also used to funnel notifications from GitHub, Google Drive and similar services into one place.
When to pick this
For team conversations that need to leave a searchable record. For personal contact use KakaoTalk, and for voice-first groups, Discord.

One channel per project or topic. Conversation is organised by subject rather than by person, which makes it searchable.
Free plan limits
The free plan shows only the last 90 days of messages. Older messages are hidden rather than deleted, and reappear if you upgrade.
Integrations
Receive GitHub notifications, calendar events and deployment results in a channel instead of checking several places.
