What it is
A file search tool from voidtools. It reads the NTFS index directly, so results appear as you type rather than after a wait like Windows search. The install is under 5MB and it uses almost no memory.
When to pick this
If you often hunt for where a file went. It is one of the tools whose benefit is felt first after a reformat.

Instant results
With hundreds of thousands of files the list updates while you type. There is nothing to wait for.
Light
It indexes filenames only, so the index stays small and background load is negligible.
Content search is separate
By default it searches filenames. Searching inside files requires turning on content search, which is much slower.
