Check before installing

  • It fetches drivers over the internet, so it cannot help when the network adapter is the missing driver. Get it before you format and keep it on a USB stick.
  • 3DP Net, on the same site, bundles network drivers for exactly that offline case.
  • Download from the official site only. Installers from elsewhere have been reported to carry extra software.

What it is

A Korean driver-identification tool from 3DP. It reads the motherboard, graphics card, sound and network adapter in your PC and finds the current driver for each. When Device Manager fills with question marks after a clean install, it saves you working through manufacturer sites one at a time.

When to pick this

Useful right after a format when you do not know which drivers are missing, and free for both personal and business use. Because it needs a connection, the ordering matters: if the network itself is down, 3DP Net on a USB stick comes first.

Details

It identifies parts and matches drivers to them

Motherboard model and chipset, graphics, sound and network adapter are read and listed. Each entry links to its driver, so you do not need to know the part names.

It cannot help when the network is the problem

Drivers are fetched over the internet, so the program needs a working connection. In the exact situation where the network driver is what is missing, it is no use. Download it before you format and keep it on a USB stick, or take 3DP Net, which bundles network drivers, alongside it.

Use the official site only

Several mirrors appear in search results, and installers from sites other than the official one have been reported to include additional software. A tool that installs drivers runs with high privileges, so the source matters more than usual here.
