What it is
An open-source remote desktop program. It was built as an alternative to TeamViewer and AnyDesk, and its distinguishing feature is that you can run your own relay server. Under the AGPL licence it costs nothing for individuals or companies.
When to pick this
For remote access at work, or to avoid pressure to upgrade to a paid plan. If connection speed and stability matter most, AnyDesk is still ahead.

Runs without installing
The downloaded file works as-is, so you do not have to talk someone through an installation to help them.
Self-hosted server
Run your own relay and connections never pass through an outside service — an option where security policy forbids third-party remote tools.
Business use
No licence cost even for work, unlike AnyDesk and TeamViewer which both charge for commercial use.
